The brand was named after a mountain range that is disappearing.

Client: , a premium natural mineral water whose entire proposition is its source. We made the brand say the quiet part out loud — and then pay for it.

The problem

Sheet 01

The brand derives its products, its name and its whole idea of itself from the Himalayas. Its promise to customers is to help them “live elevated”.

Meanwhile the range it is named after is in serious trouble. Glacier mass is falling and glacial melt is accelerating. Communities that have lived there for centuries are already dealing with the consequences.

A brand cannot keep taking its identity from a place indefinitely without anyone noticing it has given nothing back.

The idea

Sheet 02

If the mountains gave you everything, be their megaphone.

The Himalayas are photographed for their grandeur. Almost nobody looks at what is actually happening to them. So instead of another beautiful film about a beautiful place, the brand borrowed the loudest platform available in that landscape: the world’s highest ultramarathon.

We partnered with the Ladakh Marathon and built the campaign around the brand’s own national awareness day, as . Not a sponsorship logo on a finish line — a movement with a pledge attached.

The runners were the proof. People who had trained for months to run at that altitude are not brand ambassadors. They are witnesses, and an audience can tell the difference instantly.

The reservoir

The brand funded reservoir development in Leh, Ladakh — provision against water shortage and drought for the communities in the campaign.

What it proves

Purpose work fails when the brand asks the audience to care about something the brand itself has not paid for. The reservoir is the reason this one did not.

It is also the cheapest media buy in the file. Two hundred articles and twelve crore of reach came from doing something genuinely worth reporting — which is a strategy decision, not a budget.
